HOMEMADE NO KNEAD BREAD

3 cups all purpose or bread flour

1 1/2 tsp salt

1 1/2 cup of water

1 tsp instant yeast 

 

 

  • in a large bowl combine flour, yeast and salt and mix well
  • pour in the water and stir with a spoon until all the flour is incorporated, it only takes a minute
  • the dough will be sticky and kind of rough
  • cover the bowl with a plastic wrap and let it sit on your kitchen counter for about 12 to 24 hours (the warmer your kitchen is the faster it will rise) 
  • when the dough has risen it should be very sticky and stringy when you take it out of the bowl,  with the well floured hands fold the dough a few times over onto itself and then shape into a ball
  • sprinkle any seeds of your choice on a clean kitchen towel and place the dough on it , cover for another 1 or 2 hours 
  • preheat oven to 250'C and place enamel pot with its cover inside 
  • you want it to be very hot 
  • when ready carefully lift the dough and place it inside the enamel pot and bake covered for 30 min then remove the lid and continue baking for additional 15-20 min until the bread is nicely golden brown
  • then take the bread out of the pot and let it cool down a little on the wire rack before cutting
