FRUIT LAYERED DESSERT
When you are trying to lose weight or just maintain a healthy lifestyle the craving for sugar is one of the hardest to beat. The perfect alternative to satisfy your sweet tooth is fresh fruit. The sugars in fruits are digested differently than normal table sugar or sugars in candy, mainly because table or processed sugars contains about 50% fructose, which is difficult for our liver to metabolize. Fresh fruits contain fiber, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and good phytonutrients and can be easily transform into quick and healthy desserts from popsicles, sorbets to yogurt parfaits. For this quick fruit bomb dessert i layered banana, soaked chia seeds in coconut water with a splash of lemon juice (to get jelly-like consistency) and top it of with fresh kiwi. You can also add layer of blended frozen mango or berries.
